Active-Semi® Enables Germany Based Fein’s High-Performance BLDC Power Tools with Power Application Controller™ (PAC™) IC Family

Dallas, USA – March 1, 2016 – (YAHOO FINANCE) – Germany based Fein (www.fein.com) and Dallas based Active-Semi®, Inc. (www.active-semi.com) announced today the launch of Fein’s AFSC 1.7 Q SuperCut Oscillating Power Tool based on Active-Semi® Power Application Controller™ (PAC™) motor control IC. Using a powerful brushless DC (BLDC) motor, AFSC 1.7 Q offers a professional-grade high-performance tool delivering 19500 rpm working on an 18V Li-ion battery for automotive and other applications.

Also, HYDRA-X evaluation kits, motor control firmware for sensored, sensorless Back-EMF and FOC, motor tuning software are available to jump-start development.
